February 12:  There’s only one chicken the Chicken Catching Queen of Lamar County (by Janice N. Harrington) can’t catch, and she’s determined to catch her. Join us for the exciting chase and find out will Miss Hen get caught?

February 19: A lot of things can happen when you go on a walk. We’ll read I Went Walking by Sue Williams and practice our story telling and coding skills.

January 14th: The sky is falling! It’s time to get a little hysterical with the classic story of Henny Penny by Jane Wattenberg.

January 21st: Library Closed. No Toddler Time.

January 28th: We’ll stomp, slither, and roar our way through If You’re Monster and you Know It by David Emberly.

January 15th: A fox has kidnapped chicken! It’s up to rooster, bear and rabbit to save the day in The Chicken Thief by Beatrice Rodriguez.

January 22nd: Go on an exciting, snowy adventure with a girl who finds a wolf cub in Wolf in the Snow by Cordell Matthew.

January 29th: Would you be a good monster? We’ll found out what makes a good monster when we read Leonardo the Terrible Monster by Mo Willems.

Hampstead Holiday Open House

Thursday, December 13th @ 3:30

Join us for the Hampstead Branch Library’s Holiday Open House! We’ll start with some winter songs and follow those with some books, including Jingle, Jingle by Nicola Smee; make edible candy trees; and watch a holiday movie. Light refreshments will be provided.

December 17th Let’s talk about what we enjoy about the holidays with I Love Christmas by Anna Walker.

December 4th We’ll find the perfect hat with a plucky chicken in A Hat for Minerva Louise by Janet Morgan Stoeke and then follow the adventure of another hat in This is Not My Hat by Jon Klassen.

December 11th There’s nothing bears like more than sleeping all winter, but the bear in Good Night Already! by Jory Jon can’t get to sleep. We’ll then Sleep Like a Tiger (by Mary Logue).

December 18th We’ll get some advice for meeting Santa in If You Ever Want to Bring a Pirate to Meet Santa, DON’T! by Elisa Parsley and talk about what we love about Christmas as we read I Love Christmas by Anna Walker.
