Homeschool Virtual Workshops

August 6
Beth Zamfir, a homeschool mom of 6 children from 1 year old to eighth grade, will be speaking on how to homeschool different ages and how to homeschool them at the same time. Mrs. Zamfir has created a fun-loving environment to encourage a thirst for knowledge, and her kids are her testimony. Her husband Daniel is Romanian, before immigrating to French Canada. Mrs. Zamfir is Canadian. They were both public, private, and schooled at home, both now holding University degrees. They’ve been reading to their children from the womb on, but intentionally homeschooling them from preschool up. Their oldest begins eighth grade this August. They use a faith-based approach to their studies and worship with the church of Christ in Wetumpka.
August 13
Montgomery City-County Public Library System wants to share our resources and local resources geared towards homeschool families. It doesn’t have to be expensive, and you don’t have to do it alone.
August 20
Jania Otey, a homeschool mom of two and a public speaker for families, will be speaking on the benefits of homeschooling when it comes to getting into colleges and going into the work field. Mrs. Otey has her B.A. degree in political science and her Juris Doctorate from Howard University. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and D.C. She has authored a vegan cookbook and published articles in the Gospel Journal. She is also the Executive Director of Kids and Culture Camp, a summer enrichment program for kids.

Ukulele Class

This class is designed for people ages six through grown-up seniors who wish to learn how to play the ukulele. You may bring your ukulele, or you may check one out from our library. Learning how to play the ukulele is an incredible method to animate your mind! Check out a Ukulele with our curbside service.
