Hampstead Library Announces July Programs!!

Toddler Time

Mondays @ 10:15

Toddler Time features a short book, songs and a few rhymes for 20 – 25 minutes followed by 15-20 minutes of free play with toys and felt. We always wrap up with a toddler favorite: BUBBLES! This program is designed for children Under 3, but all ages are welcome!

Story Time

Tuesdays @ 10:15 and 4:15

Story Time features songs, book reading, and a few rhymes and lasts about 30 – 35 minutes. We follow this up with a simple craft. Please note that the 10:15 and 4:15 programs are repeated sessions and the same content will be presented at each session. The program is designed for children ages 3 and up, but all ages are welcome!

Animals of all kinds go to space in the very accurate Mousetronaut Goes to Mars by Astronaut Mark Kelly and slightly silly Penguinaut! by Marcie Colleen.

Let’s talk about how to solve problems be comparing the both equally silly choices in Stuck by Oliver Jeffers and How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers.

Activity: Making Moons for the Summer Reading Challenge display

July 16

Express your individuality as we read Bea Rocks the Flock by Victoria Jamieson and help us on the grand search for a sheep of a different color in Where is Green Sheep by Mem Fox.

Discover why a moose is a very bad pet in This Moose Belongs to Me by Oliver Jeffers, and meet

Ernest, the Moose Who Doesn’t Fit (by Catherine Rayner).

July 30

Foxes are known for being very sneaky. We’ll discover How to Find a Fox (by Nilah Magruder) and test those skills with Harriet and the Fox by Mem Fox.

STEAM’ed

Last Thursdays of the Month @ 3:30

STEAM’ed focuses on STEAM learning and is aimed at children 1st Grade and up. Children younger than this may attend but must have an adult present to assist them with activities. Please be sure to register to ensure we have enough materials for the program. Register by calling the Hampstead Branch Library at 334-625-5770 or message us on our Facebook page.

July 25th: Back by incredibly popular demand, we’ll be making slime again! Bring your own special slime ingredient and see how it affects your slime.
