Every Friday @ 10:15

Join us every Friday for a special program for Summer Reading, all ages are welcome.


June 7th: Montgomery Biscuits and Big Mo!

Big Mo is going to be at the library with some exciting news! We’ll share some stories and songs and then have a chance to take pictures with Big Mo.

June 14th: Story Time with an Astronaut

Cane you read books in space? What kind of books do astronauts like to read? We’ll find out today as we listen to a real life astronaut read a book.

June 21st : Talking Tree

Did you know Earth is part of the universe as well? We’re going to learn how to take care of the earth with the Talking Tree.

June 28th: Dance Party. . .In Space!

What does Space sound like? As the summer winds down, join us for a dance party with some awesome space songs and get out some of your summer energy!

July 5th: No event, Happy 4th of July

July 12th: End of Summer bash at Downtown

This Summer we have read a Universe of Stories and would like to celebrate before you return home! The End of Summer Party on July 12 from 10am-2pm, will be full of free games, activities, prizes, and pictures with Big Mo and Friends! Come celebrate at the Juliette Hampton Morgan Memorial Library on 245 High Street with your favorite MCCPL librarian!

Toddler Time

Mondays @ 10:15

Toddler Time features a short book, songs and a few rhymes for 20 – 25 minutes followed by 15-20 minutes of free play with toys and felt. We always wrap up with a toddler favorite: BUBBLES! This program is designed for children Under 3, but all ages are welcome!

Story Time

Tuesdays @ 10:15 and 4:15

Story Time features songs, book reading, and a few rhymes and lasts about 30 – 35 minutes. We follow this up with a simple craft. Please note that the 10:15 and 4:15 programs are repeated sessions and the same content will be presented at each session. The program is designed for children ages 3 and up, but all ages are welcome!

Last Thursdays of the Month @ 3:30

STEAM’ed focuses on STEAM learning and is aimed at children 1st Grade and up. Children younger than this may attend but must have an adult present to assist them with activities. Please be sure to register to ensure we have enough materials for the program. Register by calling the Hampstead Branch Library at 334-625-5770 or message us on our Facebook page.

June 27th: Are you ready to think like an astronaut and conquer these engineering challenges?

July 25th: Let’s talk about the planets and make a string model of the solar system.


Camp NanoWrimo

Thursdays June 7, 21 and July 11, 18 @ 3:30

A writing program for 5th – 12th grade

Have you always wanted to write but not known how to start? Are you determined to write a story this summer? Are you just curious about writing or story telling? You are in luck, because July is Camp National Novel Writing Month, and we are here to help you reach your goals!
