February 7, 2017               Voices in Black History Speech Contest (Grades 6-8/Grades 9-12) @ 6:00 P.M.

Description: Each contestant will research and write his/her own speech, present a 3-5 minute speech and present in character and costume.

February 14, 2017            Celebrating Black History @ Rufus A. Lewis Regional Library @ 10:00 A.M.

Description: Join in the celebration with Attorney Julian McPhillips Jr. discussing his latest title, Civil Rights In My Bones. In addition, enjoy a musical selection of Negro Spirituals performed by Mrs. Minnie Stringer, Pianist/Vocalist.

Description: This course is an introduction to the ancient practice of Yoga. Through a series of gentle Yoga Poses, participants will experience a sense of well-being and relaxation.  Comfortable, form-fitting, but stretchy clothing is recommended.  Participants of all levels of health, mobility, and flexibility are encouraged to attend as Yoga Poses can be adapted for comfort.
