January 5            Computer Class @ 11:00 A.M.

Description: Basic Computer Skills will be taught.

 

January 9            After 5 Book Club Discussion @ 6:00 P.M.

                                Summary: Allegra’s sister Fiona was murdered six years ago in what seemed like an

open-and-shut case.  The accused, Lonnie Stall, was seen fleeing the scene.  His blood

was on Fiona and her blood was on him, and most damning Lonnie Stall pleaded guilty.

Allegra believes Lonnie is innocent and been wrongly imprisoned.  The case is reopened.

January 10          Juggling A Multitude of Social Security Tasks @ 10:00 A.M.

Description: Attendees will be given information regarding Social Security Benefits and how to create for a personalized online account for completing a number of tasks.

January 10          Yoga Class @ 6:00 P.M.

Description: This course is an introduction to the ancient practice of Yoga. Through a series of gentle Yoga Poses, participants will experience a sense of well-being and relaxation.  Comfortable, form-fitting, but stretchy clothing is recommended.  Participants of all levels of health, mobility, and flexibility are encouraged to attend as Yoga Poses can be adapted for comfort.

Elephants Cannot Dance by Mo Willems. Gerald and Piggie are very different.

Gerald is careful. Piggie is not.

Piggie cannot help smiling. Gerald can.

Gerald worries so that Piggie does not have to.

Gerald and Piggie are best friends!

 

Wiggle by Doreen Cronin.

Get up and wiggle as we find all the ways to wiggle throughout the day!

 

Children will also enjoy songs and coloring sheet or craft.

 

Jan. 11th In Happy Pig Day! by Mo Willems, Piggie celebrates her favorite day of the year! But will Gerald the Elephant be included in the festivities.  Children will also learn important facts about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the book Martin’s Big Words: The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by Doreen Rappaport. Children will also enjoy songs and coloring sheet or craft.

 

Jan. 18 Start the new year with a new book!

The Book With No Pictures by B.J. Novak. You might think a book with no pictures seems boring and serious. Except . . . here’s how books work.

Everything written on the page has to be said by the person reading it aloud…

Can it text?

Can it blog?

Can it scroll?

No – it’s a BOOK!

Children will also enjoy songs and coloring sheet or craft.

 

Jan. 25th Preschooler will learn the importance of Mardi Gras and why many celebrate this holiday. We will also understand the significant of the type of music played during this time in the book Just A Little Music by Mercer Mayer. Children will also enjoy songs and coloring sheet or craft.
