Story Time

 Wednesday@ 10:00 a.m.  

 

 

Nov. 2nd This week preschoolers will become familiar with author Mo Willems’ books. They will learn how to have patience in Waiting is not easy! (Gerald the elephant learns to wait for Piggie’s surprise) and in Well, I am going! (Gerald the elephant is exhibiting anxiety). Gerald has an issue when Piggie says, “I am going!” Children will engage in songs and a coloring sheet.

 

Nov. 9th Children will learn the importance of going to bed on time when reading Back to Bed, Ed! by Sebastien Braun and how to make friends with Yo! Yes? by Chris Raschka. Children will engage in songs and a craft.

 

Nov. 16th Children will learn the significance of Thanksgiving from the story Thanksgiving is….. by Louise Borden & 1, 2, 3, Thanksgiving by W. Nikola Lisa. Children will engage in songs and a craft.

 

Nov. 30th Movie Day & Craft

Come join Rufus A. Lewis Regional Library and the Montgomery Therapeutic Center for an afternoon of fun and activities. Enjoy story time, games and movies to help relax from a day at school.

 

 

Comic Book Club

Every 3rd Thursday in Month

@ 4:00pm – 4:45pm

Come join Rufus A. Lewis Regional Library and others as we discuss & trade the latest adventures of our favorite comic book heroes.

 

 

ADULT PROGRAMMING

November 1       Scrapbooking

Time:     10:00 A.M.

Description:        Learn techniques of telling stories of your memories through the art of scrapbooking using words, paper, glue, photos, etc.  Attendees are encouraged to provide materials or this program.  Please contact staff @ (334)240-4848 for registration and a list of recommended materials.

November 2       Mesh Wreath Making Class

Time:     11:00 A.M.

Description:        Learn to make Christmas and all occasion Mesh Wreaths.  Attendees are encouraged to provide materials for this program. Please contact staff @ (334)240-4848 for registration and a list of recommended materials.
