May 12     I love fairy tales!

“Goldilocks and the Three Bears”, by Jan Brett

Lost in the woods, a tired and hungry girl finds the house of the three bears where

she helps herself to food and goes to sleep.

“The Three Billy Goats Gruff”, by Paul Galdone

Three billy goats have to cross a bridge to get to a field of green grass, but

encounter a troll on the way.

May 19     Fairy tales are make-believe!

“The Three Little Pigs”, by James Marshall

Three little pigs try to make it on their own only to have a fox come and attack them.

“The Princess and the Pea”, by Hans Christian Anderson

A young girl feels a pea through twenty mattresses and twenty featherbeds and

proves she is a real princess.

Lego League

 

The first and third Tuesday in May. (May 3 and May 17)

4:00 – 5:00 pm

Come join the fun and creativity as we build with Legos.

 

Homework Assistance

 

Our program meets every Tuesday from 5:00 – 5:45 pm. Our tutors offer assistance in Math, English, and Reading.  Students in grades 1 – 12 are invited.  Please bring your own materials and homework, or the lessons you will need assistance with.

 

Registration is required of students, and adults who are interested in tutoring are invited to assist, with pre-registration required.

May the Fourth be with you on May 6 at 3:15-5:30.

 

Make reservations early and bring your pillow.

 

We will show a Star Wars movie. Vote for the movie you wish to see and the one that gets the most votes wins. This is for Star Wars fans from ages 8-80.  We will provide the popcorn and a drink.

Come join our coloring club. Adult level coloring sheets and color pencils will be provided.

Southern Charm Book Club

May 12, 2016

Today we will be discussing the book, “The Things We Keep”, by Sally Hepworth. This is a story of a young woman’s  journey in dealing with her mind slipping away.  Her family puts her into an assisted living facility where she meets Luke and they fall in love.  This is a story about the power of love to grow and endure even when faced with the most devastating obstacles.

Eastbrook Mystery Book Club

We will discuss “The Cuckoo’s Calling”, by Robert Galbraith (J.K. Rowling).This is the first in a series of three new crime novels with Detective Cormoran Strike as the main character (we own all three).In this book Cormoran Strike is investigating a supermodel’s suicide. We will receive our next book “The Accident” by Chris Pavone.
