This was a great program guided by retired Judge McPherson. I learned a lot about the challenges faced by professional women who just happen to be black. The challenges are great and it takes a lot to face those challenges, however these ladies were gracious in sharing how they achieved their personal goals. It was interesting that they all faced very similar obstacles. They all grew up through the Civil Righst movement, varying levels limited finanancial opportunities and varying levels of achieved family educational levels. However the common thread seemed to be tha they all came from families committed to pushing them ahead and giving them the financial support tha they could. They all went to strong HBCUs and that makes me proud.
